Teeth Whitening

Have you ever wondered, what is the best way to whiten my teeth?  We offer a advanced bleaching system that has given hundreds of our patients a whiter, brighter smile. We begin by taking impressions of the patients’ teeth and then we fabricate very thin plastic ‘trays’ into which the patient is instructed to place the bleach and wear it overnight. We recommend two weeks of use to obtain the optimum results. We have used this product for our patients for over ten years now and it is gentle on the teeth and our patients are ecstatic with the results. Please ask our staff if bleaching is an option for you.

Oral Examination and Dental Diagnosis

Fillings

Our modern equipments and techniques support us in the role of diagnosising dental diseases as well as providing the best possible quality dental care

Endodontic Dentistry

Why, when and how it works?
Root canal treatments are done whenever the decay reaches a point where it starts to irritate the nerve inside the canals causing the teeth to become sensitive to cold, heat and sweets or when we need to prepare a tooth for a crown or to change a deep filling and to prevent hypersensitivity and nuisance to the patient. Root canal treatment can only be done on "adult" teeth which means teeth with complete with totally edified roots otherwise if teeth are not fully erupted and roots are not complete other procedures must be done first to achieve a status where root canal treatment can be performed safely. Teeth with defected previous root canal treatment usually cause problems but although their re-treatment is a long and complicated procedure but reliable final results can be obtained.
New techniques and sophisticated electronic equipments and massive training have helped to improve the quality of root canal treatment thus becoming very safe, painless, fast with reliable and durable results. n the past root canal treatment was considered as a short transition phase before extracting the teeth however nowadays teeth with "good" root canal treatment can last as long as normal teeth. In conclusion we can say that no more several appointments for root canal treatment and no more pain or discomfort and no more short time results, as a matter of fact it has improved to the point that it has become a routine treatment with no discomfort, no pain and with long lasting results.

Aesthetic Dentistry

Aesthetic Dentistry, or Cosmetic Dentistry, involves various dental treatments to give you that beautiful natural smile. Aesthetic Dentistry includes:

Laser Tooth WhiteningVeneersDental Inlays and OnlaysDental Crowns and Dental Bridges
The tooth-colored material for crowns and bridges, veneers, inlays and outlays is composed of a high-quality glass-ceramic. It is a tried-and-tested natural material, which meets today's requirements with regard to aesthetics, function and reliability.

Oral Surgery

The wide ranges of services in the oral surgery field are determined by the specialist according to the needs of the patient:

Surgical removal of impacted wisdom teeth
Tooth extraction

Dental consultation, diagonsis and treatment plan with our dental specialists will first be required before oral surgery takes place.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a man-made replacement for natural teeth which allows the person to return to fixed teeth. Dental implants fuse with the jawbone to form a secure foundation for tooth replacement.
The implants are manufactured from biologically neutral pure Titanium. Titanium is proven to be acceptable by the human body and it will not cause material-related rejection.
The categories of dental implants will be selected by the doctor depending on your specific needs and general dental condition. You would require an x-ray to evaluate the amount of bone remaining, models of your mouth to determine space available and a thorough examination to decide which type of implant can help you the most.
There are two basic types of implants available at our clinic:
Conventional Implants:
Done in two phases over 2 months
Immediate Implants: Done in one phase also known as one day or same day implants
Benefits of Dental Implants:-
Regain your confidence and increased quality of lifeReduce size and construct a more natural functional bridge or denture
The solid anchorage of the dental implant will allow you to increase your chewing pressure, so eat anything you wantImproves speech as compared to having dentures
Prevent further loss of teeth and bone support
Young, natural appearance
Expected lifelong replacement for lost tooth
No slipping, sliding clicking dentures or worrying about your dentures popping out in embarrassing situations

Dental Implant Restoration Types:-Single Tooth Implant
The single tooth implant restoration consists of three separate parts. Namely, the implant which replaces the tooth root, the post which will support the crown and the prosthetic crown. The crown can be cemented onto the post or held in place with a screw.

Implant Supported Dentures:-Implants allow you to wear full dentures and partial dentures without worrying that they will slip or fall out. Having implants to support these restorations also means that the base of the restorations can be made much smaller and more comfortable. The dentures may be fixed, using bridges, or removable, using overdentures or partial removable dentures.
For overdentures, implants with screws placed in the jaw will serve as attachments for a metal bar, which will help support a removable denture. Use of 2 to 6 implants may be used for stability, as necessary. The new denture snaps over the bar and is stabile and very retentive. The completed fixed-detachable denture sits on top of the implants above the gum tissue.

Multiple Tooth Implants:-Implants are stronger than the natural tooth roots, therefore several missing teeth can sometimes be replaced with fewer implants. For example three missing teeth can be supported by two implants or four missing teeth can be supported by three implants.

Implant Bridge
An Implant Bridge is very much like a conventional Full Coverage Bridge except the support is actually over implants rather than natural teeth. The implants themselves act as man-made roots. A great advantage is that this is self-supporting - unlike a tooth-supported bridge that puts a heavier load on the remaining teeth. Implants are a terrific choice for missing teeth.

Metal-free implants :-The Straumann® PURE Ceramic Implant is made from high-strength ceramic material and designed to achieve maximum functional and esthetic performance. The implant has the color of a natural tooth so does not shimmer through in the cases of thin or recessed gums. This allows patients to have a natural-looking and esthetically pleasing outcome.

Periodontic Dentistry

Periodontists are the dental specialists who treat gum disease and are known as the plastic surgeons for your smile. Periodontal disease and decay are caused by bacterial plaque, which is the primary cause of gum disease in genetically susceptible individuals. Plaque is a colorless film that sticks to your teeth at the gumline. Plaque constantly forms on your teeth, and if it is not removed, it will harden into a rough, porous substance known as calculus (or tartar).
Bacteria found in plaque produces toxins or poisons that irritate the gums, which may cause them to turn red, swell, and bleed easily. If this irritation is prolonged, the gums separate from the teeth, causing pockets (spaces) to form. As periodontal disease progresses, the supporting gum tissue and bone that holds teeth in place deteriorate. Left untreated is the primary reason people loose teeth.
The range of treatments in periodontics are:
Scaling and root planningAesthetic and GingivectomyGingival recession and Gingival GraftEsthetic Periodontal Crown-Lengthening Surgery and Bone graftAesthetic and GingivectomyGums affected by periodontosis can be cured, with treatment ranging from simple scaling and curettage up to actual periodontal plastic surgery. The total duration of periodontal treatment is varies for each individual.

Gingival recession and Gingival GraftGum recession is one of the gum problems that patients can frequently identify. When the recession is in the front of the mouth, it may be readily seen, especially if it is on the upper front teeth.

Periodontal Plastic Surgery is predictable in creating thick, tough gum tissue (called "attached gingiva") which will prevent further recession, and in some cases will also cover the existing recession. An important point to understand is that these periodontal plastic surgical techniques have the treatment of recession as their primary treatment objective.

Aesthetic Periodontal Crown-Lengthening SurgeryThe appearance of the gingival tissues surrounding the teeth plays an important role in the esthetics of the anterior maxillary region of the mouth.

Abnormalities in symmetry and contour can significantly affect the harmonious appearance of the natural or prosthetic dentition. As well nowadays, patients have a greater desire for more esthetic results which may influence treatment choice.
Esthetic periodontal surgery is sometimes performed to change the dimension of the front teeth and to optimize the esthetic outcome of treatment with new crown restorations or other esthetic dental care.
In some instances a simple procedure can increase the length of the teeth to improve esthetics. Extensive dental work is often necessary to restore oral health.

Prosthodontic Dentistry

Prosthodontic Dentistry, or Prosthetic Dentistry, is concerned with treating missing teeth or treating existing teeth that have significant damage. The Prosthodontist deal with congenital defects as well as problems arising from trauma and neglect. The Prosthodontist can aid in the rehabilitation of a complete dentition or merely in the replacement of one or two teeth.
There are different ways to replace missing teeth, such as bridges or partial dentures. Bridges and Dentures may be fixed or removable.
At our dental clinic, we utilize IPS Empress porcelain, amongst other conventional materials, for natural looking teeth. Our dental center provides the full range of dental treatments services for bridges/crowns, complete or partial dentures and dental implants.
Benefits of Prosthetics:-
The benefits of fixing missing teeth using dentures and bridges include:

It prevents exisiting teeth from drifting into surrounding space of the missing teeth
Teeth out of position can damage tissues in the mouth
The difficulty of thorough cleaning between crooked teeth runs the risk of tooth decay and periodontal (gum) disease that can lead to the loss of additional teeth.
Improves out your smile
Helps to properly chew food
May improve speech
Prevent a sagging face by providing support for lips and cheeks

Preventive Dentistry

Prevention Is Better Than CureYour teeth can and should last a lifetime. Prevention and early detection are key in avoiding costly and painful dental treatment. Prevention begins with the control of plaque and calculus, the main cause of decay and gum disease.
The most important steps in maintaining oral health and preventing tooth decay are regular brushing and a balanced diet. Additional methods also exist, among them the application of dental sealants. Sealants, made of plastic resin, shield tooth enamel from acids and plaque.
The range of dental prevention in our clinic include:Sealant* protect for your teeth and your child“s teeth with resin
Fluoride treatment to help teeth build resistance to decay
Caries risk assessment
Diet counseling
Preventive resin restoration
Oral hygiene instructions

Oral Care for Restorations
It is important to look after your new restorations. Try to avoid using abrasive toothpaste that may damage your teeth and restorations and increase sensitivity. It is advisable to use a mouthwash first to loosen plaque etc. and clean with fluoride toothpaste to finish. It is also advisable not to rinse out the toothpaste but just to expectorate.
Full oral hygiene instruction will be given to you by your hygienist. It is now known that certain oral bacteria cause gum disease. Your hygienist will demonstrate to you how to control this disease by disrupting the progress of these bacteria.
You and your hygienist will work closely together to discover some areas of bacterial infection.Your hygienist will carefully clean and polish every tooth surface so those bacteria can be kept under control and show you oral hygiene procedures such as proper brushing and flossing techniques.

Orthodontic Dentistry

Aesthetic Dentistry, or Cosmetic Dentistry, involves various dental treatments to give you that beautiful natural smile. Aesthetic Dentistry includes:
Orthodontic treatment can improve your dental health and change your facial appearance for the better, and it can boost your self-esteem by improving the way you look.
Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. The practice of orthodontics requires corrective appliances, such as braces, to bring teeth, lips and jaws into proper alignment and to achieve facial balance.
Children and adults can both benefit from orthodontics, because healthy teeth can be moved at almost any age. Because monitoring growth and development is crucial to managing some orthodontic problems well, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends that all children have an orthodontic screening no later than age 7. Some orthodontic problems may be easier to correct if treated early. Waiting until all the permanent teeth have come in, or until facial growth is nearly complete, may make correction of some problems more difficult.
The results of orthodontic treatment can be dramatic — beautiful smiles, improved dental health and an enhanced quality of life for many people of all ages. Treatment typically lasts from 6 to 30 months, depending on age, and the severity of the orthodontic problem. Outstanding results are also dependent on maximizing the coordination of care between you and our practice.
The types of braces we have at our clinic include:
Clear and Metal BracesLingual or Internal BracesInvisalign
